Great News!!!!!
Around June 4th, I got a letter from the disability summit, saying that I was accepted there. I can't wait to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been asking a couple of my friends who've gone there, a few questions, since this is my first time going to the summit. TOday, my mom made me go out with her. We went to Jewel for some things, we got an emissions test for the van, went to Taco Bell for lunch, went to Target to get a few things for my nephew's birthday party this Sunday, and got some to-go food for the rest of my family for dinner. A few minutes after getting home from all this, I went to the library for a while. So it was a pretty eventful day today.

My Day
I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night, which stinks. When I did get sleep, I dreamt about camp. Which is ironic, since I got a letter from camp saying that I didn't get in. I'm not very happy about that. I hope I get in next summer. Now I just have to hear from the Disability Summit to see if I got in. I really hope I do, because I really, really want to go. It seems like a lot of fun. This Sunday, there is going to be a Day in Our Village where I live. I am planning on going with a few of my friends. It seems like a lot of fun. I can't wait until then. Not much else is going on now. Just relaxing at home.

Memorial Day Fun
On Saturday, my dad barbecued in celebration of Memorial Day. I had a couple hot dogs. Sunday, I just relaxed at home. Monday, I went to Culver's and Enchanted Castle with a friend and his parents. At Culver's, I got a bacon and cheese burger, with fries and water. At Enchanted Castle, I played several arcade games, and we played a round of golf. I won. I am sore today from all that fun, though. That's ok. It will go away after a while. It's been a long time since I've been to Enchanted Castle, so it was nice to go back. I've never been to Culver's before, so I didn't really know what to expect of the food. But it was really good. I had a fun Memorial Day.
I got the application for the camp a couple of weeks ago, and filled it in and mailed it off the day I got it. I hope I hear from them soon. A few days ago, I heard that one of the campers from my group last year recently died. I know he had cancer, but I didn't expect him to die. I thought he would pull through. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
I sent the disability summit application in either on Tuesday or Wednesday of last week. Now, I have to wait until the middle of next month to find out if I get to go or not. I hope I do get to go. After I mailed the application, my mom had me get some paper plates for her at Walgreens. After that, I went home and relaxed. I am so glad I'm done with applications right now. That was a lot of work, just for one application.

I am In a Foul Mood Today
I am in a really bad mood today. My jerk of a brother wouldn't let me use his computer. He hid the mouse when he wasn't using it. I now have to use a library computer. F*ing idiot. I hope I get to use it tomorrow. I still haven't filled out the last question on the summit application. But I still have some time before I have to send it in. I am also still waiting for the recommendations, and the TLC Camp application. I wonder what's taking them so long. I should of had the camp application by now. I'll give them a few more days until I call again.

Going's On
I am just about done filling out my application for the disability summit. Just one more question to go. I still need the recommendations, and then I will be able to send it in. I still did NOT get the application for TLC Camp. I wish it didn't take them so long to send it. I'll probably call again on Monday. Not much happened today. My parents are on an anniversary getaway, so I don't have to hear them nagging me to do something all the time. That is so nice. I'm just relaxing today. I'll probably relax tomorrow, too.

Update
Last Friday, I went to a doctor's appointment, and I asked him about the clicking in my knee. He said it was nothing to worry about. Yay!!!! The last few days, we got some rain here. I love it when it rains. I went for a walk today, at the local park. I am so glad it's warmer out. This Saturday, my parents are going away for the weekend, to celebrate their anniversary. Woohoo!! No parents!! Just kidding. Though I am a little happy they will be gone, so I don't have to listen to my mom nag me about doing something.

My Day
Today was a dreary day. It was raining a little, and a bit on the cold side. But I still went for a walk. I still didn't get the application for TLC Camp. This is really annoying. I am going to call them tomorrow, and ask them to send me one. This Thursday, I have a doctor's appointment, which I am not looking forward to. I never really liked going to the doctor's. And the dentist.

News
Still no application from TLC Camp. I hope they send it soon. Though, my friend said that if I don't get one soon, he'd make a copy of his and give it to me. I hope so, because I want to go to the camp this year. My knee is still bothering me, but now, my other knee is bothering me, too. I hate this. I have a doctor's appointment next week, so I can see if he can figure out what's wrong. I want my knees to get better soon.

Something On My Mind
Yesterday, I went for a walk, and took pictures along the way. I took a picture of something that was in the windowsill of an apartment, and the woman who lives there, who just happened to be right across the street, thought I was taking pictures of the inside of her house. I, of couse, was NOT!!!! I wasn't even thinking of doing that at all. Even if I did, I wouldn't have been able to, since the blinds were down. I used the zoom feature, so I only got what was on the sill. Here is the picture I took:

I understand why she thought that, but she shouldn't be so quick to jump to that conclusion. I just wanted to take this picture, because I liked the frog bank.

My Easter Weekend
I had a pretty good Easter weekend. Saturday, I made cupcakes to bring to my sister's house on Sunday. I then dyed eggs. That is my FAVORITE thing to do for Easter. Sunday, my mom, dad, one of my brothers and I went to my sister's to celebrate. We had dinner (pork loin, mashed potatoes, salad, and macaroni and cheese), played video games on the Wii, and just relaxed. I had a good time. I got quite a few pictures from the day. It was fun.

My Day
Today, I had a doctor's appointment. It was a blood test thing. I normally don't mind needles, but this time, I didn't like it. It was uncomfortable. But at least it's over. In a few minutes, I plan on going for a walk. Not much else is going on today. I can't wait for Easter, because I get to see my niece and nephew (and my sister)!!!! I love being an aunt.

My Day
Yesterday and today, I went for walks outside. 1 hour yesterday, and 1 hour and 20 minutes today. I took quite a lot of photos both times. Not much else happened. Yesterday I went to the library on my walk, and picked up a couple books that I had on hold. Tomorrow, I am planning on going to the library again, since I have something else in for me. I still haven't gotten the application for the camp. I wonder when they are going to send it.

An Update
Sunday, we got some snow, which I didn't like. This is supposed to be spring, not winter. At least the some of the snow melted today. I am planning on going for a walk a little later. I can't believe March is just about over. The month went by fast. I still haven't gotten an application from TLC. I wonder when they will be sending them out. I really wish I knew.

Belated Birthday Celebration for Mom
Today, we celebrated my mom's belated birthday. Her actual birthday was on the 7th, but she was sick then, and couldn't really celebrate that day. My parents, one of my brothers, and I went to Old Warsaw for a celebration. It started raining a little soon after we left. It was a good day overall.

My Day
Today was fairly warm out, but I didn't go outside today, to take a walk. Instead, I exercised with an exercise DVD. That was a good way to get some workout time. A friend of mine called and asked if I heard anything from TLC Camp. I told him I haven't, and he said that if he doesn't get an application by April, he'll call them, and ask what's going on. I hope they send out the applications soon.

Green Cleaning Recipes
If you don't already, you may want to give Green Cleaning a try. There are many recipes for environmentally safe cleaning, here are a few easy ones to try out:
Green Cleaning Recipes:
Window and Glass Cleaner:
While there is nothing unique about this recipe... it works!
Newspaper, Vinegar and Elbow grease!
All Purpose Cleaner:
1/2 cup ammonia 1/3 cup washing soda 1 gallon warm water
Combine and use to clean your floors, tiles and painted walls. This will also deodorize so you will not have a need to use harmful deodorizes in your home!
Disinfectant:
If you use environmentally cleansers regularly you will find they keep the air clean. Store bought cans etc.. contain many harmful ingredients.. and are costly.
Descaler:
One part vinegar with two parts water is all you need to clean your kettle and iron. Kettle - pour into the kettle bring to a boil, rinse well. Iron - Put some in the resevoir, let it stand for 30 minutes, rinse well.
Tub & Tile Cleaner:
Baking soda and a damp cloth will clean your tub and tiles. You may need to use a brush to get into the grout but this will do the job without an environmental hazards.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner:
Mix borax and lemon juice into a paste. wet the sides of the toilet bowl, rub and let stand for a few hours. Scrub off and flush! (if you don't have stains you can let stand for less time)
Drain Opener:
A plunger will usually do the trick.. if not try this recipe 250ml baking soda 250ml salt 125ml vinegar(white) pot of boiling water (kettle if you have one). Pour the soda, salt and vinegar down the drain, leave for 15-20 minutes. Pour in the boiling water.

A Good Day Today, Though It Was a Bit Cold Out
Today, I went for a one hour walk. That was a longer walk than I expected, but I'll take what I can get. I guess it took me so long, because I was taking pictures along the way. What can I say, I love photography. It was on the cold side, so I didn't really expect to stay out long. That's ok, though.

Exercised Today
Today was a nice day to go outside, so I took about a 40 minute walk to the park. I stayed there for a while, and then came back home. It started to rain a little, but that's fine with me. It was still a nice day. I am so glad it is spring now.

An update on goings-on with me: Yesterday I went to the park to relax. I brought my camera with me, in case I wanted to take some pictures. I did take pictures. I stayed there for about half an hour. I am hoping to go walking again tomorrow. Today, I just relaxed at home.

My Day
Today I went to Walgreens to get a few things for my mom. I got 3 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, 2 bags of Easter M&M's, 2 things of Easter stickers for my niece and nephew (Her grandchildren), and 2 bottles of shampoo. I got in some exercise for the day, which was good. I am planning on walking a little each day. I want to lose a little weight, so I can fit into my swimsuit again. It's a little tight on me.

Today's News
Today it cooled down into the 40's, but it's still a nice day. I might go out a little later. Last night I wasn't feeling too good. I had a headache, an upset stomach, and felt a bit lightheaded. I didn't take anything, because I wanted to see if I could wait it out. I did wait it out. Today, I am feeling much better. I am hoping that doesn't happen again. Tomorrow is the first day of spring. I am SOOOOOO happy about that. I am so tired of winter.

Not much happened today. It was a nice day out, but I didn't do anything outside. I think tomorrow is going to be another nice day, so I might go out tomorrow. We'll see. I still haven't gotten the application yet. I wish they said exactly when they were going to send it out. I'd really like to know.

My Day
Today I went to Border's and got the current issues of Girls' Life, and Kiki magazines. Then I went to Walgreens and got a 10-pack of pens and a box of quart-size Hefty bags. I got my exercise in for the day, which was nice. I haven't gotten the application from TLC yet. I hope I get it soon. I really want to volunteer with them again. I had so much fun last year.

Sleepover Party Games
Body Part
This game is fun to play at a "scary" sleepover and can be accompanied by other ghost stories and games such as "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" (see description below).
Ingredients
Paper Bags
Plastic Bags
Peeled Grapes
Canned Apricots
Popcorn Kernels
Cooked Spaghetti
Tomato
Macaroni Noodles
Jello
To Play
Have the kids sit in a circle in a dimly lit (or dark) room while you make up a story about a mean old witch who falls apart piece by piece. As you talk about each body part, pass around a paper bag lined with a plastic bag, and have the kids feel inside without looking.
Each bag should hold a different "body part" that has fallen off of the witch. For example, use peeled grapes for the eyeballs, a canned apricot for the tongue, popcorn kernels for teeth, cooked spaghetti for brain, a large peeled tomato for the heart, cooked macaroni noodles for intestines, a slab of jello for the liver, and so on.
Have the kids guess what food you used for each body part, and the person who guesses the most right wins.
Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board
Ingredients
Just Add Guests! ™
To Play
The basic premise of this game is to have one person lie on the floor while everyone else sits on his or her knees around her with both hands slightly under her.
There is one "Storyteller" who sits by the head and tells a made up story about the person on the floor's life and her "untimely demise."
At the end of the story, everyone chants "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" repeatedly as they lift her off of the ground.
The idea is to have everyone believing that "spirits" are helping to lift her off the ground (in reality, she is probably being lifted because of all the people helping to lift her). Take turns, and tell a story about everyone!
Junk Food Frenzy
This is a great game that will keep your tummy full and keep you laughing.
Ingredients
Index Cards
Dessert Recipes
Ingredients to Make the Desserts
Measuring Cups & Spoons
Baking Dishes
Bowls
To Play
Dig out some of your favorite dessert recipes and copy the instructions on index cards.
Buy ingredients for all the desserts and place them on the kitchen counter.
Shuffle the cards and divide the guests into two teams.
Have players take turns drawing cards.
Each player reads the card and takes the listed ingredient.
When all the ingredients have been distributed, give the teams thirty minutes to prepare a dish using the ingredients accumulated by the individual players.
When the dishes are complete, have each player taste and eat the results, then vote on the best tasting dessert! For a fun variation, give both teams the same ingredients and see what different desserts they come up with (without using recipes).
Do-It! Dice
Ingredients
2 Square Cardboard Boxes
White Paint
Markers
Dice
To Play
Buy or find two square cardboard boxes and paint them both white. On each side of the square, write a command or a stunt, such as "Sing our National Anthem," "Hop up and down," "Spin around in circles," and so on.
Have the kids gather in a circle with the "Do-It! Dice" in the middle.
Have one player roll BOTH dice to determine his/her stunts, then have the player perform both stunts AT THE SAME TIME. This should provide lots of laughs.
Grabbit
Ingredients
Bag of Candy
Book
CD
Stuffed Animal
Nail Polish
Other Small Gifts
To Play
Place the objects above on a table, enough for each player.
Let each player name a favorite card game, such as fish, rummy, spoons, hearts, war, etc.
Gather the players around the table and remove all but one prize, setting the others aside.
Play one of the card games; the winner gets the prize.
Replace the prize, and start a new game.
Panic Word
Ingredients
Index Cards
To Play
Write down 100 words on index cards (one word per index card), such as blink, stare, lint, thread, plate, bra, and shoelace -- any words you like.
Stack the cards and put them in the center of the room.
Divide the players into 2 teams and seat them opposite each other.
Set the timer or stopwatch for one minute.
Have the first player from Team One draw a card from the pile and give clues to the word to his or her teammates before the timer ends the play.
If the word is "blink", the team member might say, "What you do if dust gets in your eyes?" Players from Team One try to guess the word; if they are successful before the time is up, they get a point.
If the timer runs out and the word is not guessed, the other team gets a point. Take turns until all the cards are gone. Then add up points to see who wins.
Who Am I?
Ingredients
Index Cards
Double Sided Tape
To Play
Write the names of famous people on index cards and tape one card to the back of each guest.
Have everyone walk around in the same room, and instruct them not to mention the name on each person's back, but to talk to everyone as if they are the person on their card.
As people begin to correctly guess their identity, they have to continue to treat the people who still don't know their identity like the people whose name is taped to their back. When everyone guesses his or her "true identity" then the game is over.
No-Mirror Make-Over
One of the best themes for a sleepover party for teenage girls is a Makeover theme. Host a beauty contest in which the contestants have to apply all of their make-up without a mirror. This is a game in which the most hideous contestant wins the prize. Make sure to take some nice blackmail photos of all the contestants!
Ingredients
Makeup
To Play
On the invitation tell the girls to bring their makeup...all of it!
Have everyone set it out.
Then, set a five-minute timer. Everyone has five minutes to put her makeup on without a mirror.
The girl with the most hideous makeup on wins.
Murder
Ingredients
Slips of Paper
Hat
To Play
Label one piece of paper with the word “Murderer.”
Put slips of paper into a hat. The number of papers should be the same as the number of guests.
Have your guests each choose one slip of paper; they should not show it to anyone else.
Each slip of paper will be blank except of one that says "Murderer."
The guest who picks "Murderer" has to walk around the party and "kill" people by winking at them. As soon as one of the guests is winked at, he/she has to count to three and then fall on the floor.
If someone knows who the murderer is, they have to say, "Stop! I know who the Murderer is." If the accuser is wrong, then he/she is "dead" and out of the game. If the accuser is correct, then the game is over, and he/she is the winner.
Truth or Dare
Ingredients
Just Add Guests! ™
To Play
Gather your guests into a group and have a seat. Choose one person to begin.
The "beginner" gets to choose who goes first by asking someone "Truth or dare?"
The chosen person must respond either "Truth" or "Dare." If he/she responds "Truth", then he/she must respond truthfully to any question asked. If he/she responds, "Dare" he/she must perform a dare that is presented to him/her no matter what.
Prizes are not usually awarded. However, if the host/hostess chooses, small prizes can be awarded for dares once they are successfully completed.
Nutty Sleep-Over Antics
Here are some fun things that can be done to the first people who fall asleep knowledge of this should keep the party going for quite a while.
Put the sleeper's hand in warm water- this is supposed to induce them to have to go to the bathroom
Throw someone's panties/bra in the freezer
Place a rubber snake on the pillow of an "early sleeper"
Put shaving cream on a sleeper's hand and then tickle their nose with a feather. Isn't a face full of shaving cream what all "Party Poopers" deserve?
Prizes
Glitter Heart Sunglasses
Nail Polish
Bling Cell Phone Lip Gloss
Flashing Rose Rings
Bracelets

5-Step Detox to Revitalize You
By Dr. Maoshing Ni - Posted on Tue, Mar 10, 2009, 4:51 pm PDT
Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity

At the arrival of spring it is a natural instinct to cast off the winter blues and feel renewed. It is also a great time to eliminate the toxins that have been burdening your system, leaving you sluggish and fatigued. Make a clean sweep with the 5-step detox listed below!
Why you need to spring clean your body
Your body is naturally equipped with a self-cleaning process. But too much sugar, caffeine, processed foods, stress, and too little exercise can slow the body's natural detox function to a slow pace. And then your body can't clean itself when it is put up against the increasing number of harmful and toxic substances in the environment. Toxins come in many forms: pesticides in produce, formaldehyde in carpets and cosmetics, PCBs from plastic containers, dioxins from bleached paper products, and more.
Your body will process and eliminate some of the hordes of chemicals that enter, but overflow gets stored in the liver, lungs, kidneys, fat cells, intestines, blood stream, and skin—which can result in chronic illnesses down the road. When you undergo a detox, you get these toxins out of your system.
How do you know if you need a detox?
You know you're suffering from toxic overload if you are experiencing fatigue, memory decline, difficulty focusing, allergies and infections, irritability, anxiety and depression, difficulty with weight gain and weight loss, muscle and joint pain or weakness, skin rashes and outbreaks, recurrent yeast and fungal infections, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal bloating, and indigestion.
Most people report vast improvement in their symptoms after a detox. At first, you may feel a little fuzzy because of the toxins being released. However, when you stick with it, you will begin to feel more alert, energized, and full of vitality.
At-Home Detox
Start small! Begin with a one-day program and gradually increase to one week or more. Here are 5 steps to a daily detox that will gently cleanse your body:
1. Start the Detox Day Right
• First thing in the morning, drink one lemon squeezed in 12 ounces of warm filtered water. Lemon activates your liver to release toxins and helps to cleanse and move the roughage that stays behind in your intestines.
• Take acidophilus or a probiotic supplement. Acidophilus is one of the many "good" bacteria and yeasts known as the probiotics. Probiotics balance our intestinal functions, helping to break down food and control the "bad" bacteria that is also in your system—all of which optimizes the detoxification process. Always take probiotics on an empty stomach.
2. Your Detox Meals
These meals are designed to jump-start your body into becoming healthier.
• Breakfast: Eat oat bran cereal, brown rice, or any other whole grain cereal as long as it is unbleached and does not contain any added sugar or chemicals. Pair with unflavored soy milk.
• Lunch or Dinner: Eat any combination of beans, brown rice, oat bran, vegetables, and organic chicken, turkey, or soy-products. When you eat, notice how your food affects you. You should feel satisfied and energized. If you feel tired and sluggish, try eating smaller meals so that you don't overwhelm your digestion and interfere with the detoxification process.
3. Eat Green to Spring into Health
The green pigment in plants, chlorophyll, is structurally similar to the hemoglobin in the human body—the iron-containing element in blood. It increases red blood cell production and improves oxygenation, detoxification, and circulation. Be sure to eat several servings of fresh green vegetables every day during your detox. Try this super-cleansing broth and juice as a quick way to up your veggie intake.
Detox Broth: Add as many of these ingredients as you can into a large pot of filtered water: collards, Swiss chard, kale, mustard greens, cabbage, dandelion, Brussels sprouts, daikon radish, watercress, seaweed, shitake mushrooms, cilantro, garlic, leeks, fresh fennel, anise, fresh ginger, and turmeric. Boil until all ingredients are soft. You can make in a large batch and refrigerate for up to three days.
Detox Juice: Juice the following together: Aloe vera juice (which can be found in most health food stores), apples, asparagus, beets (including greens), cabbage, carrot and carrot greens, celery, cucumbers, and parsley. You can also purchase vegetable juice from the store, but be sure that it has no added salt or chemicals.
4. Supplement Your Detox
• Take a daily supplement of 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil, walnut oil, or deep-sea fish oil.
• Green Tea is a strong antioxidant, and a great beverage choice for your detox. Be sure to drink decaffeinated green tea.
• Dandelion and Milk Thistle both protect and restore the liver. According to Chinese medicine, the liver is most active in the detoxification process during spring.
• Ginger is a bowel and kidney cleanser. Make yourself tea from fresh ginger root during your detox.
A popular herbal formula among my patients is Internal Cleanse, a special combination of natural herbs to detoxify, calm nerves, clear the mind, promote emotional balance, and ease digestion. For more information, click here.
5. Take an Invigorating Herbal Soak
Soak for 20 minutes in a revitalizing herbal bath. Help draw out toxins by infusing your bath water with eucalyptus, wintergreen, peppermint, fennel, cinnamon, and epsom salts.
Spring may be the best time to cleanse your body, but you don't have to wait until spring to start. Detoxification and cleansing is a healthy maintenance program for all seasons.
May you stay healthy, live long, and live happy!

90's Child
Anybody under the age of 13 should not read this, and if you do, you should not repost this.
Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.
It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.
You're a 90's kid if:
U remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain , and Two Stupid Dogs.
You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!
You just cant resist finishing this... "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised..."
You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World.
You remember when, 2Pac and Selena died.
You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
You remember reading "Goosebumps"
You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.
You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.
You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...
You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time"
Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? was both a game and a TV game show.
Captain Planet. He's a Hero.
You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.
You remember when super nintendo's and Sega Genisis became popular.
You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny.
You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"
You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS.
You remember when Yomega Yo-Yos were cool.
You remember those Where's Waldo books..
You remember when Mortal Kombat wuz tha shit!
U remember eating Warheads.(those sour candys)
You remember watching the 1st Batman, Aladin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies.
U remember Ring Pops.
U remember drinkin' Fruitopia and Surge.
if you memeber when every thing was "da BOMB"
when they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!!
You remember boom boxes vs. cd players
Writing M.A.S.H. notes. (and the twenty different versions of that)
Making those little paper fortune cookie things.. and then predicting your life with them.
You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"
You played and/or collected "Pogs"
You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere
You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.
You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.
You had a favorite New Kid on the block, and you knew all of there names
Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!
All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)
You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out.
You collected those Beanie Babies.
You remember a time before the WB.
You collected all the Troll dolls
You owned a portable tape player.
If you even know what an original walkman is.
You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.
You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
You know the Macarena by heart.
"Talk to the hand" ... enough said
You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"
You know the significance of the number 23.
You went to McD's to play in the playplace.
You remember playing on merry go rounds...at the play ground.
When we were younger:
Before the MySpace frenzy...
Before the Internet & text messaging...
Before Sidekicks & iPods...
Before MIKE JONES...
Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX...
Before Sponge Bob
...Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.
When light up sneakers were cool.
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.
When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.
When we recorded stuff on VCRs .
When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans.
When 2Pac and Biggie where alive.
When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever.
Way back.
when it was all about N64.
Before we realized all this would eventually disappear
Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

To every girl
To every girl that is SCARED to
put her heart out there again,
because she has been HURT
too many times or so badly.
To every girl that
has been cheated on,
because she's not a slut
who gives it up to any guy.
To every girl that
dresses cute,
not skanky.
To every girl who

beautiful, not hot.
To every girl that will spend her

To every girl who would just once

To every girl that doesn't want

emotions but actually cares about
how she feels.
To every girl who wants

To every girl that fell for all the lies
only to find themselves alone in the end.
To every girl that gave her heart away

5 Things to Be Happy About Right Now…
Don’t let the last lingering days of winter get ya down. Spring’s right around the corner and we have five things that’ll make you smile right this second. Print out our list and post it in your locker—or take a few minutes to write down your faves.
1. Flowers are starting to bloom
What’s better than catching a glimpse of the first petals of the season? Even if the buds are still chillin’ underground in your area, go to your local flower shop or grocery store and pick up some cheap seeds to plant with your fam. Then, ya can watch ’em grow each day together. Or, cheat and just buy a bitty bouquet.
2. The temps are on the rise
Take advantage of the warmer weather and go for a walk or run around the neighborhood. Or, grab a bunch of friends together and play some touch football or capture the flag in your backyard. Let’s hear it for longer days, too.
3. Cute clothes are back in style
Now that the sun’s coming out, ya can finally take those cute, springy clothes outta the closet. Even if it’s too cold to wear your fave yellow tank, start adding bright accessories to make your outfits extra cheery (and boost your mood instantly!).
4. Fruits are in season
Ya might not be getting away for spring break, but lotsa tropical fruits are back in season. Get a healthy sugar rush by noshing on kiwis, oranges and pineapples.
5. Birds are chirpin’
The birds are flyin’ home and ya gotta admit, while they may wake ya up early in the mornin’, they are fun to listen to. Set up a bird feeder outside to make a springtime friend.

Great PJ Party Games!
Sick of the same old sleepover routine? Movies…pizza…makeovers…pancake breakfasts…you get the point! Spice up your sleepover with these crazy 'n' fun games. You can switch them up any way you want and customize them to be the perfect fit for you and your BFFs.
Need some help picking who should be “it”? Here are some cool suggestions:
- person with the longest hair
- person with the shortest hair
- person with the longest fingernails
- oldest
- youngest
Piggly-Wiggly
Got a big group of girls? Piggly-Wiggly is the perfect party game. Pick one friend and have her go out of the room for two mins while everyone gets under blankets or into sleeping bags (better if its not their own).
Have the friend come back in and tap each sleeping bag or blanket and say, “Piggly-wiggly,” the girl under the blanket replies, “Oink-oink.” The “it” girl tries to guess who is under the blanket. If they guess right, the girl comes out, if she doesn't the girl stays under the blanket. The last person under her blanket wins!
Crazy Dress-Up
This is a contest to see who can dress up the funniest! Take a ton of clothing (try borrowing old stuff from you ‘rents to make it extra ridiculous) and put it in a separate room. Choose three girls as “judges.”
One girl then goes into the separate dressing room and has 90 seconds to come up with the craziest outfit possible. Find some cool music to play, so when the girls come out the can model the outfit like they’re out on the catwalk. Who wins? Whoever the judges think has the craziest get-up?
The Sleepover Slipper Match-up
Collect all the players’ slippers (or shoes if you didn’t bring slippers), and place them in the center of the room. On the word “Go” all players race to grab their slippers fastest and put them on first!
You can play again and make some changes, like playing blindfolded. Or choose one person to hide them all over the house then go on a slipper hunt!
Hot Potato Nailpolish
Choose a DJ and have her put on a fun playlist. Start passing a bottle of nail polish around until the DJ stops the music.
When the music stops the person holding the nail polish has to paint as many toenails as they can until the music starts again. Keep playing until someone has all their toenails painted!

Games
Have a "beauty contest" for pajamas or slippers! Give prizes for "silliest," "most like the wearer," "furriest," "warmest," "most elegant," etc.
If you choose to have this contest, be sure to put a reminder on the invitation to bring PJs and slippers.
Good Gossip
"If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all!" Make all the girls feel good about themselves by having each girl say something nice to another girl.
Have the first girl in line whisper something sweet, kind and/or positive about the last girl in line to the second girl in line. Pass along the sweet gossip to each girl until it reaches the next to last girl in line. She will repeat the sweet gossip so everyone can hear.
Now -- how much is it the same, or how much has it changed from the original compliment?
At this point, the last girl moves to the other end of the line and becomes the first girl, and the game is repeated. Have them continue until all the girls have heard some sweet "good gossip" about themselves.
"You Go, Girlfriend"
Keep this one a secret until your party is almost over! Near the end of the party, ask each guest to write down on a piece of paper the name of a girl they thought showed the most kindness, was most helpful and gracious during the entire party. Tally the names and present the winner with a small prize.

1/8-inch circle paper punch
Brightly colored rat-tail craft cord
Brightly colored pony beads
Glue
Scissors

Assorted small stickers, including alphabet stickers
Assorted small paper die cuts
Scraps of fabric and decorative paper
Colored pens, glitter pens, markers
Glitter, sequins
Charms
Colorful craft wire, ribbon
Small buttons
Glue, double-sided tape
Scissors
Before the Party
Make a book for each party guest. Each book should have at least one page for each guest. If you're having 10 guests, each book should have at least 10 pages, not counting the covers.
Let's Begin
Cut card stock in half down its length. Pieces should measure 4 1/4" x 11".
Fold each piece in half and run your finger along the crease. The folded pieces will measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
Open folded pages up. Using a pencil and ruler, mark two dots right on the crease. One should be 3/4 inch from the left edge. The other should be 3/4 inch from the right edge. Use the paper punch to punch a hole at each dot.
Repeat step 3 on all pieces of card stock.
Stack as many pages as you need for a book. The holes should line up.
Cut a 12- to 15-inch piece of cord. Thread one end through one set of holes, from the inside of the book to the outside. Thread the other end of cord through the other set of holes.
Knot the cord ends together outside the book, or tie them in a bow. Thread a pony bead onto the ends of the cord if you want.
At Your Party
Set out all the supplies -- glue, scissors, stickers, pens, ribbon and other things. Give a book to each guest. Then, have the girls pass around their books and have each girlfriend decorate a page or two in each book.
