Slumber Fun Table Accents

Things You'll Need

For each place mat:

12 x 18-inch sheet white craft foam
Light blue parchment card stock
Solid yellow card stock
Yellow print decorative paper
Light blue craft paint
Round painting sponge or small piece of sponge
Craft glue
1/2-inch double-sided tape
6 blue small rhinestone stars
5 silver 1 1/2-inch star spangles
4 inches 1 1/2-inch-wide blue gingham ribbon
Yellow paper dinner napkin
Glittery dimensional paint
Shiny white dimensional paint
Computer with printer or black felt-tip pen
Paper plate
Paper towels
Pencil
Scissors
Glue

Place Mat
Trim edges of craft foam to make cloud shape.
Pour a little blue paint onto paper plate. Dab sponge into paint. Dab sponge onto folded paper towel until most of the paint comes off.
Dab sponge lightly around edges of place mat. Set aside to dry.

Stars & Moon
Trace patterns for small and large stars and moon onto white paper. Cut out. Trace around one large star and four small stars on back of blue parchment.
Trace one moon on back of solid yellow card stock. Cut out.

Trace another moon on back of yellow print paper. Cut out, cutting a little inside pencil lines so this moon is smaller. Glue a star spangle to each parchment star. Glue a rhinestone star to each spangle.
Outline all parchment stars with squiggly lines of glitter paint. On large star, add a squiggly outline of shiny white paint inside glittery outline. Let dry.

Glue print moon in center of solid moon. Glue on star rhinestone for eye. Outline smaller moon with squiggly line of glittery paint. Add smile with shiny white paint.

Finish Place Mat
Glue small stars and moon to place mat as shown. Add squiggles of glittery paint and white paint around edges of place mat.
Finish Napkin Ring
Shape ribbon in a ring. Where ends overlap, tape them together with double-sided tape.
Attach another piece of tape to this seam, and press napkin ring onto place mat.
Glue large star to top of napkin ring. Roll napkin and put in ring.
